About The Position

Cryoport Systems is a leading provider of supply chain solutions for temperature-sensitive materials in the biopharmaceutical, IVF and surrogacy, and animal health industries. The company utilizes proprietary technology and logistics expertise to offer end-to-end temperature-controlled supply chain services. The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for operating in a fast-paced environment, supporting the Product Marketing function. This role reports to the Director of Product Marketing - PD and collaborates with Product Management, Program Management, and Engineering Product Development Teams to align new products with corporate strategy and market needs, analyze product profitability, and support the temperature-controlled shipper product portfolio. The Product Marketing Manager will drive demand for existing products and adoption of new products through go-to-market strategies, targeted campaigns, and sales training. The ideal candidate will translate customer data into actionable insights and strategic priorities for product development. This individual will work with cross-functional teams including Business Development/Sales, Marketing, Operations, Engineering, Customer Service, and Clients to support products, identify improvements, and support the product roadmap. The role is based in Cryoport Systems’ Irvine office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Packaging, Engineering or Marketing related field required; and/or technical background with marketing experience appropriate to the specific needs of the product lines.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in market research, product marketing/ product management/ product development, lifecycle management in the medical device or packaging space.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Intermediate knowledge in Adobe Acrobat Pro, NetSuite, Power BI, Data Analytics, Salesforce, Pardot.

Responsibilities

  • Develop effective personas, product positioning, value propositions, and key benefits by segment/audience, embedding the voice of the customer into key plans and deliverables.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies and marketing launch campaign plans for new products, including marketing collateral, sales training, and creative briefs.
  • Plan, design, execute, and measure marketing plans for assigned products and services, collaborating with the Marketing team.
  • Provide sales team training, tradeshow support, and content marketing for products, including demos, webinars, case studies, and white papers.
  • Develop and execute product-related content, collateral, sales enablement tools, presentation materials, user guides, and product updates.
  • Manage post-launch activities, including collecting customer feedback and reevaluating launch strategies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned products, liaising with internal teams and management.
  • Develop relationships with internal stakeholders and support internal communication and training initiatives.
  • Present marketing initiatives to internal stakeholders and attend industry conferences.
  • Contribute to business cases and user requirements for new product ideas through market research and customer feedback.
  • Provide input into the improvement and development of product road maps.
  • Partner with Product Management, Program Management, Engineering, and Marketing to execute collateral development and support product launch timelines.
  • Understand the product strategy and roadmap, identifying marketing opportunities and creating execution plans.
  • Understand the competitive landscape, including competitor products and capabilities.
  • Partner with Product Management to collect and analyze competitor data.
  • Identify product strengths and weaknesses relative to competition and anticipate competitive responses.
  • Develop goals, metrics, and analyze sales and profit performance for assigned product areas.
  • Assess marketing promotion effects and provide reports and recommendations for marketing campaigns and collateral updates.
  • Develop product features and benefits and maintain updates to collateral, specification sheets, and slide decks.
  • Collaborate with Product Management on product lifecycle and assist Sales with client transition plans.
