About The Position

Requirements

• A master's degree in a human relations field.
• Licensure to practice in Washington State as a mental health professional: Social Worker, Counselor, or RN with MHP.
• Working knowledge of the latest DSM and Mental Status Exam.
• Working knowledge of the addiction and recovery field.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting.

Responsibilities

• Document and process inquiry calls according to Intake policies.
• Assess and stabilize patients before discharge or arrange hospital admission.
• Notify and assist the on-call doctor with patient interviews.
• Obtain administrative approval for all admissions.
• Complete admission paperwork according to hospital policy.
• Maintain an intake log with all necessary information documented.
• Make follow-up calls to patients who do not attend appointments.
• Demonstrate guest relations by example and provide counseling to employees who need training.
• Provide technical assistance to discharge planning under the direction of the Director of A&R.
• Offer general support to the case management program.
