About The Position

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Nursing.
• Two years of teaching experience.
• Current RN license in Ohio.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• ACLS and PALS certification within six months of hire.
• Instructor certification in at least two of BLS, ACLS, and PALS within six months of hire.
• Complete 24 contact hours of approved continuing education every two years as required by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Maintain continuous certification in relevant areas.

Responsibilities

• Lead nurse orientation and staff development initiatives.
• Design, implement, and facilitate educational programming.
• Coordinate and facilitate onboarding and job-preparation experiences for employees and external learners.
• Serve as a nurse planner for continuing education learning.
• Cultivate a supportive environment for professional staff and promote professional growth opportunities.
• Conduct ongoing learning needs assessments.
• Respond to emergencies outside regular working hours, including internal and external disasters.
• Exemplify Memorial’s core values in all interactions.
• Adhere to hospital and department Ethics and Compliance programs, detect and report compliance variances, and maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Complete 24 contact hours of approved continuing education every two years and maintain continuous certification in relevant areas.
