About The Position

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable law.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license.
• Customer service experience.
• A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license.
• Access control and badge experience.
• Loss prevention experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to store team members, shoppers, and visitors by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of sales areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and visitor activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established site procedures and contacting emergency services when needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate with store leadership, Allied Universal management, and responding personnel about incidents and daily activities.
