About The Position

The Greeter performs customer service activities at the store entrance and other front-end areas. The role includes greeting customers promptly and warmly, handling merchandise with care, providing information and directions, distributing promotional materials, and supporting other front-end business needs. Greeters are expected to be friendly and outgoing and to provide an excellent customer experience that makes guests feel welcomed and appreciated.

The Greeter promotes applicable programs, checks in returned merchandise and vendor representatives, informs customers about store events and promotions, and helps keep the entryway and surrounding work area clean, tidy, and safe. For firearm or weapon check-ins, the Greeter notifies an appropriately trained and designated Outfitter; Greeters must not accept, possess, or handle firearms while performing their duties. The position performs tasks under general supervision using established procedures and occasional independent judgment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a customer service environment.
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to new processes and procedures.
• Self-motivation and initiative while working unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly, warmly, and in a friendly, outgoing manner.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership (US only), VOC, and In-Store Pickup.
• Present a professional image and follow the brand’s customer service and dress-code standards.
• Check in customers’ merchandise for return.
• Check in vendor representatives, complete visitor log information, and control visitor badges.
• Stay informed about store special events and inform customers about events, sales, and promotions.
• Provide promotional materials to customers in support of special events.
• Keep the entryway and surrounding work area clean, tidy, and safe for customers and Outfitters.
• Notify an appropriately trained and designated Outfitter to complete customer check-in of firearms or weapons according to company SOP; do not accept, possess, or handle firearms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
