About The Position

The Greeter performs customer service activities at the store entrance and front end, including welcoming customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, providing information and directions, distributing promotional materials, and supporting other front-end business needs. The role is expected to provide an enthusiastic, welcoming customer experience and help customers feel appreciated.

The Greeter promotes store programs, informs customers about special events, sales, and promotions, checks in merchandise returns and vendor representatives, and helps maintain a clean, tidy, and safe entryway. For firearm or weapon check-in, the Greeter notifies an appropriately trained and designated Outfitter; Greeters must never accept, possess, or handle firearms while performing their duties. The position works under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment in completing assignments and recommending improvements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a customer service environment.
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Adaptability to new processes and procedures.
• Excellent self-motivation and initiative while unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers as they enter the store in a friendly and outgoing manner.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership (US only), VOC, and In-Store Pickup.
• Present a professional image by following the dress code and brand standards, including wearing the appropriate logo shirt and visible name badge, and maintaining a smile, eye contact, and welcoming body language.
• Check in customers’ merchandise for return.
• Check in vendor representatives, complete visitor log information, and control visitor badges.
• Stay aware of special events and inform customers about event details, sales, and promotions; provide promotional materials.
• Keep the entryway and surrounding work area clean, tidy, and safe for customers and Outfitters.
• Assist with firearm and weapon check-in by notifying the appropriately trained and designated Outfitter; do not accept, possess, or handle firearms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
