About The Position

The Greeter performs customer service and front-end activities, including welcoming customers, handling merchandise with care, providing information and directions, distributing promotional materials, and supporting business needs. Greeters are expected to be friendly, outgoing, and attentive, delivering an exceptional experience that makes every guest feel welcomed and appreciated.

The role includes greeting customers, promoting store programs, checking in merchandise returns and vendor representatives, and informing customers about store events, sales, and promotions. Greeters help maintain a clean, tidy, and safe entryway and assist with customer firearm check-in by notifying a trained and designated Outfitter. Greeters must never accept, possess, or handle firearms while performing their duties. Other duties may be assigned.

The position works under general supervision and established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices. The role requires frequent communication, regular walking and standing, and occasional work in varying temperatures, outdoor elements, and noisy environments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a customer service environment.
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Adaptability to new processes and procedures.
• Excellent self-motivation and initiative while unsupervised.
• Regularly walk and stand; occasionally perform computer work and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Communicate with others and repeat motions involving the wrists, hands, or fingers.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers promptly and in a friendly, outgoing manner.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership (in the US), VOC, and In-Store Pickup.
• Present a professional customer-service image by following the dress code and using welcoming body language.
• Check in customers’ merchandise for return.
• Check in vendor representatives, complete visitor log information, and control visitor badges.
• Stay informed about store special events and tell customers about events, sales, and promotions; distribute promotional materials.
• Keep the entryway and surrounding work area clean, tidy, and safe.
• Assist with firearm and weapon check-in by notifying the appropriate trained and designated Outfitter; do not accept, possess, or handle firearms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
