About The Position

The Greeter performs customer service activities at the store entrance and other front-end areas. The role includes greeting customers promptly and warmly, handling merchandise with care, providing information and directions, distributing promotional materials, and completing other front-end tasks that support business needs. Greeters are expected to be friendly, outgoing, and to provide an exceptional customer experience so guests feel welcomed and appreciated.

The position works under general supervision and uses established procedures and some innovation. Greeters choose from limited alternatives to resolve problems and occasionally exercise independent judgment when completing assignments. They may also make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices. The role is part-time. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a customer service environment.
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Adaptability to new processes and procedures.
• Self-motivation and initiative while working unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter the store in a friendly and outgoing manner.
• Promote programs such as CLUB Membership (US only), VOC, and In-Store Pickup.
• Present a professional customer-service image by following the dress code, wearing the appropriate logo shirt and visible name badge, and using a smile, eye contact, and welcoming body language.
• Check in customers’ merchandise for return.
• Check in vendor representatives, complete required visitor log information, and control visitor badges.
• Stay informed about store special events and tell customers about event, sale, and promotion details; provide promotional materials.
• Keep the entryway and surrounding work area clean, tidy, and safe for customers and Outfitters.
• Facilitate customer check-in of firearms or weapons by notifying the appropriate trained and designated Outfitter, following company SOP; Greeters must not accept, possess, or handle firearms while performing their duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
