About The Position

The Greeter performs customer-service activities at the store’s front end, welcoming customers promptly and warmly and helping them feel appreciated. The role includes providing information and directions, handling merchandise with care, distributing promotional materials, and completing other front-end tasks as needed. Greeters are expected to be friendly and outgoing and to model the company’s customer-service standards and professional appearance requirements.

The position supports customer and vendor check-in, returns, store events, and promotions. Greeters help keep the entryway and surrounding work area clean, tidy, and safe. For firearm or weapon check-in, the Greeter notifies an appropriately trained and designated Outfitter; Greeters must never accept, possess, or handle firearms while performing their duties. Work is performed under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and recommend improvements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a customer-service environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Adaptability to new processes and procedures.
• Self-motivation and initiative while working unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter the store in a friendly, outgoing manner.
• Promote programs such as CLUB Membership (US only), VOC, and In-Store Pickup.
• Model customer-service and dress-code standards, including wearing the appropriate logo shirt and visible name badge, maintaining a professional appearance, and using welcoming body language.
• Check in customers’ merchandise for return.
• Check in vendor representatives, complete visitor-log information, and control visitor badges.
• Stay aware of store special events and inform customers about events, sales, and promotions; provide promotional materials.
• Keep the entryway and surrounding work area clean, tidy, and safe for customers and Outfitters.
• Notify the appropriate trained and designated Outfitter to complete customer firearm or weapon check-in according to company SOP; do not accept, possess, or handle firearms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
