About The Position

The Greeter performs customer-service and front-end tasks to support store operations. The role includes promptly and warmly greeting customers, handling merchandise with care, providing information and directions, distributing promotional materials, and helping ensure every guest feels welcomed and appreciated. Greeters are expected to be friendly and outgoing with every guest and provide an exceptional customer-service experience.

The position operates under general supervision and established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and resolve problems from limited alternatives. Greeters may make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a customer-service environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to new processes and procedures.
• Excellent self-motivation and initiative while working unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers as they enter the store in a friendly and outgoing manner.
• Promote programs such as CLUB Membership (in the US), VOC, and In-Store Pickup.
• Present a professional customer-service image by following the dress code, wearing the appropriate company logo shirt and visible name badge, and using a smile, eye contact, and welcoming body language.
• Check in customers’ merchandise for return.
• Check in vendor representatives, complete visitor log information, and control visitor badges.
• Stay informed about store special events and tell customers about event details, sales, and promotions; provide promotional materials as appropriate.
• Keep the entryway and surrounding work area clean, tidy, and safe for customers and Outfitters.
• Facilitate customer check-in of firearms and weapons by notifying an appropriately trained and designated Outfitter; Greeters must not accept, possess, or handle firearms while performing job duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
