About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field; minimum of four years' professional graphic design experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Proven ability to manage a high volume of tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment, with proactive communication with stakeholders and team members throughout each project
• Strong time-management skills, with the ability to accurately scope project timelines and consistently meet deadlines
• Proficient with web-based tools for file sharing, calendaring, and project management
• Ability to delegate assignments to contract designers and provide timely, constructive feedback and support
• Working knowledge of current trends in marketing, design, social media, and emerging design technologies
• Portfolio demonstrating design range, production quality, and adherence to brand guidelines required
• Passionate about the mission, strategy, and core values of College Park Church
• Senses a call to serve in vocational ministry and can articulate the reasons
• Demonstrates a stable, mature Christian walk (1 Timothy qualified), exhibiting an authentic love for Jesus, fruits of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22-23), and compassion toward others
• Shows high-level interest in graphic design and keeping up with the latest trends in the fields of design and marketing
• Exhibits a positive attitude and collaborative spirit
• Demonstrates an ability to build trust with others through consistent dependability in words and actions
• Able to communicate and receive constructive feedback in a gracious manner
• Willing to become a member of College Park Church and work under the direction of the Elders and Directional Team

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute graphic design projects for major ministry and event communications, as prioritized by the Director and Assistant Director of Communication, including but not limited to: Designing and editing graphics, photography, logos, and layouts for publications and other materials
• Managing day-to-day design project tasks and cross-team collaboration
• Coordinating and delivering finished communication pieces on schedule
• Providing art direction and feedback to contract designers to ensure deliverables meet brand and quality standards
• Reviewing designs to confirm alignment with College Park Church visual brand standards
• Managing multiple concurrent design projects to ensure agreed-upon deadlines are met
• Providing graphic design support for Sunday morning worship services as needed
• Using the Communication Team's project management and planning tools to track tasks, manage deadlines, and collaborate with team members
• Participating in weekly design team meetings
• Updating and providing website digital content and graphics
• Handling general administrative responsibilities, including email, meetings, and other routine staff activities
• Performing other duties as assigned by the Director of Communication
