Requirements

  • Valid Food handlers permit.
  • Two to three years previous restaurant management experience.
  • Strong computer skills, knowledge of excel and word.
  • Ability to lead and develop a team.
  • Strong communication skills, and ability to listen attentively to guests and team members.
  • Ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, always looking for ways to improve and promote quality.
  • Must be able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to restaurant problems.
  • Strong customer service, quality focus, leadership ability and decision making skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the restaurant, including employee selection, development, and performance management.
  • Oversee inventory and ordering of food supplies.
  • Optimize profits and ensure guest satisfaction with their dining experience.
  • Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs.
  • Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas.
  • Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, and procedures.
  • Manage shifts, including daily decision-making, scheduling, and planning while upholding standards, product quality, and cleanliness.
  • Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service.
  • Interview, hire, train, and develop employees, including coaching, counseling, and termination when necessary.
  • Develop employees by providing feedback, establishing performance expectations, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan for staffing restaurant needs and prepare schedules.
  • Ensure all financial and administrative duties are completed accurately and on time.
  • Publicize and promote the restaurant by coordinating promotional activities and engaging with the community.
  • Participate in food preparation, cooking, assembling, or packaging of food, collecting monies from guests, and providing guest service as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
