About The Position

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in garage door installation, repair, and maintenance; experience with commercial door systems is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record.
• Forklift certification required.
• Aerial lift certification required.
• Experience with welding, operating an acetylene torch, and using a plasma cutter.
• Ability to lift more than 75 pounds, climb a ladder, and use basic hand tools.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety rules and best practices.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
• Ability to understand root causes of technical situations.
• Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.
• Customer focus and adaptability to different personality types.
• Ability to multitask, set priorities, and manage time effectively.
• High school degree.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with commercial door systems, including sectional, rolling steel, fire doors, high-speed doors, and dock equipment.
• Experience with ServiceTitan.

Responsibilities

• Continuously develop skills and contribute to the collective expertise of the team.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines and help maintain a secure environment for the team, clients, and community.
• Keep accurate records of work performed, including notes, diagrams, and photos.
• Inspect installations and repairs to ensure they meet industry benchmarks and company standards.
• Ensure installations and repairs meet high safety standards and exceed client expectations.
• Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and employees.
• Identify customers’ needs, clarify information, research issues, and provide solutions or alternatives.
• Maintain records of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints.
• Identify opportunities to upsell products.
• Develop a thorough understanding of the company’s products and services.
• Communicate and coordinate with colleagues as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
