About The Position

We are seeking a Fire Alarm Service Technician who will be responsible for performing service calls including, but not limited to, the installation of DynaNet, troubleshooting, and maintenance of fire alarm systems. The Fire Alarm Service Technician is accountable for installing and servicing the systems in the most efficient and effective manner to ensure minimum down time and maximum performance. All installations must meet the highest quality standards set forth by DynaFire, Inc. while assuring a professional and safe working environment. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, dependable, and possess great interpersonal and problem solving skills. Responds to customer's service related issues promptly and must have the ability to effectively deal with customers, some that will require high levels of patience's. Maintain the ability to effectively communicate the needs required to complete DynaFire's scope of work to all parties responsible for portions effecting the timely completion of that scope. To operate, test, trouble shot, program fire alarm systems and documentation required to meet all applicable industry codes and standards. The ability to effectively hand and computer program fire alarm panels commonly installed by DynaFire. Follow all DynaFire's policies and procedures. Trains and instructs the customer on the proper use of the equipment. Responsible for operation of the following test equipment: Volt Meter, Ohm Meter, Oscilloscope, Multimeter, Tone Generator, and Battery Tester.

Requirements

  • Two-year electronics degree or equivalent combination of education and related field experience.
  • Working knowledge of computers and communication systems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Performing service calls including installation of DynaNet, troubleshooting, and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
  • Installing and servicing systems efficiently and effectively to ensure minimum downtime and maximum performance.
  • Meeting the highest quality standards set forth by DynaFire, Inc.
  • Assuring a professional and safe working environment.
  • Responding to customer's service related issues promptly.
  • Effectively dealing with customers, some requiring high levels of patience.
  • Effectively communicating the needs required to complete DynaFire's scope of work to all parties responsible.
  • Operating, testing, troubleshooting, and programming fire alarm systems and documentation to meet all applicable industry codes and standards.
  • Effectively handling and computer programming fire alarm panels commonly installed by DynaFire.
  • Following all DynaFire's policies and procedures.
  • Training and instructing the customer on the proper use of the equipment.
  • Operating test equipment: Volt Meter, Ohm Meter, Oscilloscope, Multimeter, Tone Generator, and Battery Tester.
