Vital Research is seeking independent contractors to conduct confidential surveys for a statewide project in partnership with the State of New York. The project focuses on the quality of life and satisfaction of individuals receiving state-supported services. Survey findings will help inform and improve service delivery, including access to essential services; communication with providers and case managers; choice and quality of services; medical transportation; personal safety; and community inclusion and empowerment. Field Interviewers contact pre-identified participants and conduct surveys by video or in person, according to participant preference. Contractors use a company-provided tablet and software, follow established project protocols and deadlines, accurately record responses, and maintain confidentiality. Contractors manage their own schedules and are expected to complete at least five surveys per week. Required training is provided before participant interviews begin. The contract term is January 12, 2027, through May 30, 2027, or until all interviews are completed. Compensation is paid per completed survey: $90 for a video interview and $100 or more for an in-person interview, depending on travel distance. Training payments include $50 for completing pre-training modules, $300 for completing mandatory virtual training on January 12–14, 2027, and $50 for completing required post-training assessments, for eligible contractors. The posting notes that its $45–$50/hour range is based on approximately $90–$100 per interview.
