Field Interviewers travel frequently to selected locations to recruit study participants and make in-person contact with selected respondents. They explain the study, answer questions, obtain participation, and approach selected households without a prior appointment. Interviewers follow contact schedules set by the Field Supervisor and administer standardized, computer-assisted interviews while collecting confidential information. The role also includes independent administrative work, such as joining conference calls, completing online training, transmitting data on schedule, keeping project equipment updated, and submitting accurate, timely Time & Expense reports. Interviewers are responsible for the proper use and care of project-issued equipment and for safeguarding and tracking participant incentives and project materials. They attend scheduled virtual project meetings and weekly meetings with the Field Supervisor, participate in field observations, and may work and drive after dark. Work schedules vary according to quarterly schedules and the size and location of assignments.
