Field Interviewers travel frequently to selected locations to recruit study participants and make in-person contact with selected respondents. They explain the study, answer questions, obtain participation, and approach selected households without a prior appointment. Interviewers follow contact schedules set by the Field Supervisor and administer standardized, computer-assisted interviews, collecting confidential information from selected individuals. The role also includes independently managing administrative duties, participating in conference calls and online training, transmitting data on schedule, submitting accurate time and expense reports, and attending virtual project-team and weekly supervisor meetings. Interviewers participate in field observations conducted by client or RTI staff and keep project equipment updated. They are responsible for the care and security of project-issued equipment, participant incentives, and project materials, and must track incentives carefully. The position requires working and driving after dark and a variable schedule determined by quarterly schedules and assignment details.
