Field Interviewers travel frequently to selected locations to recruit study participants and make in-person contact with selected respondents. They explain the study, answer questions, obtain participation, and approach selected households without a prior appointment. Interviewers follow contact schedules set by the Field Supervisor and administer standardized, computer-assisted interviews while collecting confidential information. The role also involves independently handling administrative duties, transmitting data on schedule, maintaining project-issued equipment and system updates, tracking and safeguarding participant incentives and project materials, submitting accurate Time & Expense reports, completing online training, and attending virtual project and weekly supervisor meetings. Field Interviewers may participate in field observations conducted by client or RTI staff. The work may require driving and working after dark, variable scheduling, and possible overnight travel when remote segments are included in the assignment area.
