As a Customer Service Engineer 2, you will be responsible for servicing MR/CT/MI Equipment in the Kansas City, MO area. The Customer Service Engineer Level can be adjusted based on prior experience. You are in a field-based, customer-facing role that primarily installs, services, maintains and modifies Siemens’ imaging equipment at customer sites. You are the "Face of Siemens" to the customer. You support the diagnostics modalities initially, with potential to cross train into other modalities in the future. You are flexible and willing to work different shifts and On-Call rotations as business needs dictate, including willingness to work overtime as required. Advanced notice will be provided for any shift changes. You report to the Regional Service Manager at Siemens Medical Solutions.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience performing service, preventative maintenance, and modifications on Medical Imaging Equipment at customer sites with minimal supervision.
  • Previous experience with the desired Diagnostics Imaging Equipment.
  • Ability and experience to establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, as well as performing necessary administrative duties timely and accurately.
  • Strong background working with electronics and proficiency in the use of service tools and service test equipment.
  • Proficient PC skills (MS Windows & Microsoft Office 365 - Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Minimum high school diploma; technical Associate's Degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of tools and service test equipment, with the ability to work both individually and in an established team setting.
  • Proficiency in all necessary network applications and tools (including but not limited to eVO, mButler, MS Office applications, Concur, NAM Customer Service website—Engineer Tools).
  • Ability to locate, read, and understand documents for install, set-up, repair, troubleshooting, schematics, block diagrams and functional descriptions.
  • 7+ years' experience as a medical technologist or field service engineer (biomedical engineer) servicing diagnostic instruments needed.
  • Valid driver's license, ability to drive independently day and night, and good driving record required.
  • Must have full access to Siemens Healthineers' client sites to perform the essential functions of this position.
  • Must meet all Vendor Credentialing requirements necessary to have full client access and must continue to meet those requirements during the course of employment in this position.
  • Successful candidate must be able to work with controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.
