About The Position

The Field Application Engineer supports customers using ATI Industrial Automation’s Tool Changer and Material Removal product lines. The role brings engineering expertise directly to customers, from evaluating applications and demonstrating solutions to troubleshooting performance after installation. Working with sales colleagues and customer teams, the engineer identifies opportunities, demonstrates product capabilities, and supports use of ATI technology in robotic and automated manufacturing environments. This is a remote, field-based position supporting customers across the United States and Mexico, with travel of up to 40%.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• Three to five years of experience in an engineering role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with SolidWorks and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provide product and application support throughout the pre-sale and post-sale process.
• Partner with sales personnel to identify opportunities, evaluate customer needs, and help close sales through engineering expertise and product knowledge.
• Develop and deliver robot-based product demonstrations and technical presentations at customer sites, tradeshows, and conferences.
• Create novel applications for ATI products with robots and share them through videos and application notes.
• Troubleshoot product and application issues and provide timely, practical solutions.
• Use Salesforce to manage customer cases and support activities.
• Contribute customer insights and engineering ideas to continuous improvement initiatives.
