About The Position
Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is hiring a Diesel Service Apprentice / Mechanic to perform light maintenance work under close supervision as the first stage of training toward Service Technician status. The role supports heavy-duty truck maintenance and repair while developing job knowledge and experience through training sessions. The position is designated safety-sensitive because its duties involve heavy equipment, machinery, and motor vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance work under supervision, including preventive maintenance, pre-delivery inspections, and light electrical repairs.
- Assist Service Technicians with heavy-duty truck repair.
- Attend training sessions to gain knowledge and experience.
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area and properly handle company tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
