About The Position

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC (MHC), North America’s largest Kenworth truck dealership and leasing group, is hiring a Diesel Service Apprentice / Mechanic. This is the first stage of training toward Service Technician status. The role performs light maintenance under close supervision and assists with heavy-duty truck repairs. This position is designated safety-sensitive. Performing the job while under the influence of marijuana or another illegal drug may pose a threat to health or safety, particularly because the work may involve heavy equipment, machinery, or motor vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance work under supervision, including preventive maintenance, pre-delivery inspections, and light electrical repairs.
  • Assist Service Technicians with heavy-duty truck repair.
  • Attend training sessions to gain knowledge and experience.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area and properly handle company tools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
