About The Position

Diesel Technician Apprentices work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining clean places and providing friendly service. They interact with customers and drivers and receive training despite having no professional experience. The apprentice program provides instruction in diesel vehicle diagnostics and repairs, parts lookup and acquisition, and related maintenance. Apprentices work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed and may assist customers with roadside services.

Requirements

• Be able to move and lift 75+ pounds while working in close quarters.
• Be able to work in various temperatures.
• Be able to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation; Love’s pays for it.

Nice To Haves

• Mechanical inclination; professional experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with roadside services.
• Learn preventative maintenance services.
• Learn electrical diagnostics and repairs.
• Learn air conditioning and heating diagnostics and repairs.
• Learn wheel end assembly diagnostics and repairs.
• Learn air system and air brake diagnostics and repairs.
• Learn charging system diagnostics and repairs.
• Learn basic computer diagnostics and auxiliary component replacement.
• Learn parts lookup and acquisition.
• Put customer safety and satisfaction first and comply with company safety policies and procedures.
