Diesel Technician Apprentices work in a fast-paced environment, help maintain clean facilities, and interact with customers and drivers. Professional experience is not required; Love’s provides training through its apprentice program. Apprentices learn diagnostics and repairs for electrical, air conditioning and heating, wheel-end assemblies, air systems, air brakes, and charging systems, as well as basic computer diagnostics, auxiliary component replacement, and parts lookup and acquisition. They also learn preventative maintenance and assist customers with roadside services. The role requires prioritizing customer safety and satisfaction, following company safety policies and procedures, and working a rotating schedule that may alternate between day and night as needed. Apprentices must be able to obtain a Department of Transportation medical card, paid for by Love’s.
