Diesel Technician Apprentice
About The Position
Diesel Technician Apprentices work in a fast-paced environment and help maintain clean places with friendly faces. They interact with customers and drivers, helping improve their travels and their day. Professional experience is not required; Love’s provides training through its apprentice program. Apprentices can expect to learn electrical, air conditioning and heating, wheel end assembly, air system, air brakes, and charging system diagnostics and repairs; basic computer diagnostics and auxiliary component replacement; and parts lookup and acquisition. The role includes assisting customers with roadside services and learning preventative maintenance services. Apprentices must prioritize customer safety and satisfaction and comply with company safety policies and procedures. The schedule rotates between day and night as needed.
Requirements
- Ability to move and lift 75 or more pounds while working in close quarters.
- Ability to work in various temperatures.
- Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation; Love’s pays for it.
