Diesel Technician Apprentice
About The Position
Diesel Technician Apprentices work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining clean places and providing friendly service to customers and drivers. Professional experience is not required; Love’s provides training. The apprenticeship teaches diagnostic and repair skills across electrical, air conditioning and heating, wheel end, air system, air brake, and charging system systems, as well as basic computer diagnostics, auxiliary component replacement, and parts lookup and acquisition. Apprentices also learn preventative maintenance and assist customers with roadside services.
Requirements
- Ability to move and lift 75 or more pounds while working in close quarters.
- Ability to work in various temperatures.
- Ability to obtain a Department of Transportation medical card; Love’s pays for it.

- Mechanical inclination; professional experience is not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with roadside services.
- Learn preventative maintenance services.

- Learn parts lookup and acquisition.
- Put customer safety and satisfaction first while complying with company safety policies and procedures.
- Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
