About The Position
CLA is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to clean and prepare data for analysis and visual display in reports or dashboards, and to work out data-access details in support of projects. The role uses Microsoft Power Platform or scripting languages such as R or Python. Common tools include Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate, Excel, DAX, M, R, and Alteryx. Compared with an Associate, the Senior is expected to work with greater autonomy, may lead others, and may take on administrative and support roles or contribute to new business development. The Senior Data Analyst develops service-specific knowledge through work with peers, internal experts, and clients, as well as self-study and formal training. The role participates in data collection and analysis, supports solutions for external clients and internal projects, and assesses data sources and gathering methods. Working under team-leader guidance, the analyst develops custom data models and algorithms, applies predictive analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence techniques, and monitors solution performance and accuracy. The position involves both independent work and collaboration, primarily through virtual interaction with leaders and colleagues in other offices. Requirements
- Four years of experience in data analytics, public accounting, financial consulting, computer science, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree; a combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Nice To Haves
- Five years of relevant experience is preferred.
- A degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or Data Science is preferred.
- Experience or familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate), Excel, DAX, M, R, Alteryx, or Python.
Responsibilities
- Develop service-specific knowledge through exposure to peers, internal experts, clients, self-study, and formal training.
- Apply knowledge gained and performance feedback to future work; approach projects professionally, objectively, and with an open mind to new ideas and solutions.
- Participate in collecting and analyzing data using a variety of data tools.
- Work with the Data Analytics team to support the development and implementation of solutions for external clients and internal projects.
- Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data-gathering techniques.
- Develop custom data models and algorithms for datasets under the guidance of Data Analytics team leaders.
- Develop predictive analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence techniques.
- Use existing processes and tools to monitor and analyze solution performance and accuracy, and communicate findings to team members.
- Work independently and collaboratively, primarily in virtual interaction with leadership and colleagues from other offices.
- Potentially serve as a primary contact for clients or business leaders on internal projects, take on administrative or support roles, lead others, and participate in new business development.
