About The Position

The Buyer, Indirects - MRO Data Analyst develops and maintains spend analytics across MRO categories, suppliers, plants, materials, and buying channels, including SAP and Ariba catalog and non-catalog purchasing. The role cleans, enriches, classifies, and reconciles purchasing, invoice, catalog, contract, inventory, and material master data to create reliable insights for category strategy and manufacturing operations. The analyst identifies savings opportunities, builds item-level pricing benchmarks, analyzes supplier price changes and cost claims, and evaluates inventory consumption, stock levels, excess materials, duplicate items, and standardization opportunities. In partnership with plant and maintenance stakeholders, the role validates material use, criticality, substitution potential, and local requirements. It also supports sourcing events, supplier performance management, catalog adoption, savings validation, and the development of dashboards and repeatable reporting processes. This is an office-based role in a normal office environment, with moderate travel to customer locations, stores, and manufacturing facilities. Chicago/Aon Center-based employees may work virtually up to two days each week and are expected to work in person at their assigned location at least three days per workweek on defined core days. The role is eligible for a performance-based bonus. The new-hire base salary range is $77,800–$97,300.
