About The Position

The Buyer, Indirects - MRO Data Analyst develops and maintains spend analytics across MRO categories, suppliers, plants, materials, and purchasing channels, including SAP and Ariba catalog and non-catalog purchasing. The role cleans, enriches, classifies, and reconciles purchasing, invoice, catalog, contract, inventory, and material master data to create dependable analysis and reporting. The position identifies savings opportunities through price variance, supplier consolidation, demand aggregation, tail-spend analysis, specification alignment, and sourcing opportunity sizing. It builds item-level pricing benchmarks; analyzes supplier price changes, inflation requests, freight, surcharges, and tariff claims; and examines inventory consumption, stock levels, turns, excess and obsolete materials, duplicate items, and standardization opportunities. The analyst partners with maintenance and plant stakeholders to validate material usage, criticality, substitution potential, and site requirements. The role supports supplier performance tracking and strategic sourcing events through scorecards, baselines, bid files, comparison models, scenario analyses, award recommendations, and implementation tracking. It monitors catalog utilization, preferred-supplier adoption, leakage spend, and off-contract purchasing, and helps build dashboards and automated reporting for spend, savings, inventory, supplier performance, and sourcing execution. The analyst documents savings calculations and initiatives, partners with Finance on validation, and improves processes, controls, and reporting to reduce manual work and improve repeatability.
