About The Position

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and orderliness throughout the manufacturing facility. This includes production areas, restrooms, break rooms, offices, and other designated areas. The custodian ensures a clean and safe environment for employees by following facility protocols and safety standards. This role will be to report directly to the Facilities and Maintenance Manager and work on-site at our cultivation facility in Riverbank, Ca.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous custodial or janitorial experience, especially in an industrial or manufacturing setting, is a plus.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
  • Physically capable of performing duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • This position occasionally requires the extended and repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers to cut and manipulate small objects.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older and authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must adhere to all laws, regulations, and policies associated with the industry.
  • Exposure to industrial equipment, noise, dust, chemicals, and temperature variations.
  • May require working around moving machinery or in restricted areas.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize floors, walls, windows, equipment, and surfaces in production and non-production areas.
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors; operate floor cleaning equipment when necessary.
  • Empty trash and recycling bins regularly; transport waste to designated disposal areas.
  • Clean and restock restrooms and break rooms, including supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
  • Perform routine cleaning of high-touch surfaces to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Report any maintenance or safety issues (e.g., spills, leaks, damaged equipment) to supervisors promptly.
  • Maintain cleaning supply inventory; request supplies when stock is low.
  • Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous or chemical waste.
  • Adhere to company safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Support periodic deep-cleaning and special project assignments as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), OSHA regulations, and company standards.
  • Assist on Lunch Coverage for security team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
