About The Position

The Custodian maintains appropriate sanitation levels in and around company facilities, including warehouse, office, bathroom, and breakroom areas, while following applicable regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures. The role involves cleaning floors and facility spaces, removing trash and ice, maintaining the grounds, and performing general facility maintenance. Custodians may also check that cleaning supplies and equipment are in working order, secured after use, and adequately stocked.

The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Work may involve cold storage temperatures as low as -20°F/-25°C or dry storage temperatures up to 100°F/37°C, with company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear. The role requires lifting at least 20 pounds and may involve operating floor-cleaning equipment, pallet jacks, and other machinery or material-handling equipment.

Requirements

• Ability to operate floor-cleaning equipment and pallet jacks.
• Comfort handling cleaning chemicals.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to understand instructions in the country's official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics.
• Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20°F/-25°C in cold storage sites or up to 100°F/37°C in dry storage sites while wearing company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds; required weight may vary by facility.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
• Comfort working around varying noise levels, which may at times be loud.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum hallways, stairs, breakrooms, and office spaces.
• Wash and sweep inside the facility and pick up discarded trash.
• Perform general maintenance throughout the facility, including the warehouse and freezer.
• Remove ice and pick up pieces of pallets.
• Keep the grounds clean and free of debris.
• Ensure cleaning materials and equipment are in good working condition and are properly secured after use.
• Maintain supply levels by conducting routine stock checks.
• Work with other machinery and material-handling equipment.
