Custodian - Day Shift
About The Position
The Custodian maintains appropriate sanitation in and around company facilities while following regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures. The role covers warehouse, office, bathroom, and breakroom areas, as well as general facility and grounds maintenance. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The listed pay range is $14.23–$23.99 per hour; the posting also mentions $19.75 per hour. The position may involve working in cold storage temperatures as low as -20°F/-25°C or dry storage temperatures up to 100°F/37°C while wearing company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear. Requirements
- Ability to operate floor-cleaning equipment and pallet jacks.
- Comfort handling cleaning chemicals.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to understand instructions in the company’s official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics.
- Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20°F/-25°C in cold storage sites or up to 100°F/37°C in dry storage sites while wearing company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 20 lbs./9 kgs.; the weight may be higher depending on the facility.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
- Comfort working with varying noise levels, which can sometimes be loud.
Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum hallways, stairs, breakrooms, and office spaces.
- Wash and sweep inside the facility and pick up discarded trash.
- Perform general maintenance throughout the facility, including the warehouse and freezer.
- Remove ice and pick up pieces of pallets.
- Keep grounds clean and free of debris.
- Keep cleaning materials and equipment in good working condition and properly secured after use, and maintain stock levels through routine stock checks.
- Work with other machinery and material-handling equipment.
