About The Position

Requirements

• Prior Environmental Services or housekeeping experience in the hospitality industry.
• Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of chemical processes and transformations, including chemical uses and interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods.
• Knowledge of cleaning machines and tools, including their designs, uses, and basic maintenance.
• General knowledge of hospitality-industry cleaning requirements.
• Understanding of government public health regulations.

Responsibilities

• Help stock housekeeping supplies when delivered.
• Apply cleaning solvents to rooms and work areas, moving or lifting objects as needed.
• Operate cleaning equipment to clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, the casino floor, and other work, storage, and customer areas, including metal fixtures and fittings.
• Vacuum rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Empty wastebaskets and ashtrays, clean ashtrays, and transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
• Wash windows and sills, door panels, walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
• Clean biohazard material.
• Answer customer or public inquiries or direct them to the appropriate department.
• Help clean problem areas.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
