About The Position

The Custodian safely performs janitorial duties assigned by management and provides quality service to customers. The position requires knowledge of and willingness to learn all aspects of the job. Most work takes place indoors, though the team member may travel between locations and buildings throughout the year and in various weather conditions. The team member works with cleaning chemicals and follows the Emergency Operations Work Assignment according to customer requirements. Schedules are subject to change.

The position pays $18.40 per hour. For team members covered by the Service Contract Act, the federal government pays Health and Welfare dollars on their behalf; the stated rate is $4.93 per eligible hour, applied to employee benefits. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements for work assignments on the specified contracts, pass applicable organization and state or federal background screenings, and complete required drug testing. Requirements

• Understand oral and/or written instructions.
• Interact appropriately with customers, government personnel, and staff members.
• Meet eligibility requirements for work assignment on the specified contract(s).
• Pass organization screening requirements, including applicable state or federal background screenings.
• Complete required drug testing.
• Regularly bend, crouch, walk, climb stairs and ladders, reach above the head, and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
