About The Position
Bulkley Valley Credit Union is seeking a temporary, full-time Risk & Compliance Analyst for approximately 18 months. This role involves monitoring and reporting on Proceeds of Crime and Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing (PCMLTF) and fraud activities, filing reports to FINTRAC, analyzing account activities, and providing recommendations to the Manager Risk. The position also includes providing compliance and administrative support to the Risk Management team and supporting the creation of an Enhanced Service Commitment through efficient administrative support to branches. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to cooperative values and member service.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a financial institution branch environment or operations/risk department, preferably with a credit union.
- Experience plus education and/or training equivalent to 3 years will also be considered.
Nice To Haves
- Education and/or knowledge of regulatory compliance, anti-money laundering legislation and FINTRAC guidelines.
- Experience in dealing with law enforcement and general security.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring and reporting of Proceeds of Crime and Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing (PCMLTF) and fraud activities within established policies and procedures.
- Filing of prescribed reports to FINTRAC.
- Analyzing account activities and utilizing judgment to provide recommendations/decisions to the Manager Risk.
- Providing compliance and administrative support to the Risk Management team.
- Supporting the creation of an Enhanced Service Commitment by efficiently providing administrative support to the branches.
- Working as a member of the team and setting a personal example of service and professionalism.
