About The Position

Brooks is seeking a Trade Compliance Analyst to join its Global Trade Compliance team. The role primarily supports the global export compliance program and also assists with import compliance and customs-related activities. Work includes export classifications, denied party screening, sanctions reviews, export licensing, end-use and end-user reviews, and Oracle GTM administration. The analyst also supports customs classifications, country-of-origin reviews, broker support, audits, recordkeeping, and process improvements. The preferred location is onsite in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. Work arrangements may include a mix of in-office and remote work depending on the role and business needs; specific expectations will be shared during the interview process.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Trade Compliance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
At least 2 years of experience in export compliance, export controls, or trade compliance in a multinational environment.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Working knowledge of HTSUS, ECCN, customs regulations, export controls, and trade compliance processes.
Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
Ability to analyze issues, identify process improvements, and help drive practical solutions.
Ability to explain trade compliance requirements to employees at all organizational levels, including those without a trade compliance background.
Experience working with cross-functional teams, customs brokers, and logistics providers.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Interest and aptitude in process improvement and creative problem-solving.

Nice To Haves

Experience with import compliance and customs programs.
Experience using trade automation tools such as Oracle GTM, SAP GTS, or similar systems; Oracle GTM is preferred.
Experience in the semiconductor, manufacturing, or another regulated industry.

Responsibilities

Support global export compliance activities, including transaction reviews, denied party screening, end-use and end-user reviews, and licensing determinations.
Maintain trade compliance data in Oracle GTM, including classifications, licensing information, screening data, and trade controls.
Partner with business teams and IT to improve and expand the use of Oracle GTM and other trade compliance automation tools.
Determine and maintain ECCN classifications for products, components, spare parts, software, and technology; support HTSUS and Schedule B classifications as needed.
Resolve Oracle OTM/GTM trade compliance holds related to classification, country of origin, customs valuation, denied party screening, end-use and end-user reviews, and licensing requirements.
Conduct transactional reviews and compliance monitoring to help ensure the accuracy of import and export records.
Participate in U.S. and global trade compliance risk assessments, identify potential gaps, and support corrective actions.
Assist with developing and maintaining trade compliance policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Support internal audits, regulatory inquiries, and other compliance-related projects.
