About The Position

A Case Manager is responsible for managing personal injury cases from the time a client is retained through the progression of their claim. This role serves as a primary point of contact for clients and requires strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage multiple cases and competing priorities. The Case Manager is responsible for maintaining complete and accurate case files, monitoring case progress, and ensuring that important case-related tasks and deadlines are addressed in a timely manner. The Case Manager works closely with attorneys and other members of the firm to ensure clients receive exceptional service and that cases are properly prepared for resolution.

  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with attorneys and other team members
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based systems
  • Ability to learn and effectively utilize the firm’s case management system

Nice To Haves

  • Previous personal injury or law firm experience is strongly preferred
  • Previous experience managing a personal injury caseload is preferred
  • Knowledge of personal injury claims, medical treatment, insurance claims, and the settlement process is preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish is highly preferred
  • Current Nevada Notary Public commission is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage an assigned caseload of personal injury clients from retention through resolution
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the life of their case
  • Maintain consistent, professional, and compassionate communication with clients regarding their case, treatment, and next steps
  • Build strong client relationships and provide an exceptional client experience throughout the case
  • Identify gaps or interruptions in client treatment and follow up appropriately
  • Communicate with insurance companies and claims representatives regarding case-related matters as directed
  • Gather and maintain accurate insurance policy and claim information
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date electronic case files and case management system records
  • Document all significant client, provider, insurance, and case-related communications in the firm’s case management system
  • Monitor case progress and ensure assigned tasks, follow-ups, and deadlines are completed timely
  • Identify potential issues, delays, or concerns that may impact the client’s case and communicate them to the appropriate attorney or supervisor
  • Review and organize medical records, bills, and other documentation to assist with case evaluation and preparation
  • Assist attorneys with preparing cases for settlement, litigation, or other case-related proceedings
  • Coordinate with attorneys, Case Manager Assistants, medical providers, insurance companies, and other parties involved in the client’s case
  • Review case files regularly to ensure documentation is complete and cases are progressing appropriately
  • Assist with settlement preparation by ensuring necessary records, bills, insurance information, liens, and other documentation are properly obtained and organized
  • Assist with identifying and tracking medical liens and other outstanding financial obligations related to the client’s case
  • Maintain timely follow-up with clients and third parties regarding outstanding information and documentation
  • Escalate significant client concerns, treatment issues, insurance issues, or other case matters to the appropriate attorney or supervisor
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of client and firm information
  • Provide consistent and exceptional customer service throughout the life of the client’s case
  • Follow established case management procedures and firm policies
  • Meet established department goals, productivity standards, and performance expectations
  • Other duties as assigned
