About The Position
Carolina's Collision of Charlotte is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Automotive Body Shop Estimator. The role involves assessing vehicle damage, preparing accurate repair estimates, and providing customers with clear, transparent information about repair processes and costs. The estimator also communicates with insurance adjusters and the repair team to support an accurate understanding of the scope of work. Capital Auto Group describes itself as a family-owned, growth-focused organization with more than 1,500 team members across 20 automotive and powersports franchises, where performance, development, and culture are emphasized.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Body Shop Estimator in the automotive repair industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with estimating software.
- Comprehensive understanding of automotive repair processes, parts, and materials.
- Proficiency with estimating software and standard office applications.
- Ability to explain technical details clearly to customers.
- Must pass pre-employment background screenings.
Responsibilities
- Inspect damaged vehicles to assess damage and determine necessary repairs.
- Explain repair processes and estimate details to customers clearly.
- Collaborate with insurance adjusters to discuss estimates and negotiate repair costs.
- Coordinate with the repair team to communicate repair requirements and clarify the scope of work.
- Maintain organized, accurate records of estimates, customer communications, and insurance documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
