About The Position

ELCO Chevrolet Cadillac is hiring a full-time Body Shop Estimator at its Collision Repair Center in Ballwin, Missouri. The position handles incoming collision repair estimates and requires timely, accurate appraisals and knowledge of the automotive repair industry. Requirements

At least 3 years of recent or current automotive collision estimator experience.
Valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the past 3 years.
No drug- or alcohol-related conviction, including DUI/DWI, on driving record within the past 3 years.
Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require the company to sponsor work authorization now or in the future.
Willingness to take a pre-employment drug screening test.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional customer service skills.

Knowledge of Reynolds and Reynolds operating systems.

Responsibilities

Estimate parts and labor required for repairs using automotive labor and parts-cost manuals and knowledge of automotive repair.
Examine damaged vehicles to assess structural, body, mechanical, electrical, and interior damage.
Review repair-cost estimates with the Body Shop Manager and complete necessary insurance and collision repair forms.
Assist with scheduling work for Body Shop technicians and conduct periodic spot checks of completed work for thoroughness and quality.
Provide customer service to potential repair orders and promote the Collision Repair Center’s services and facilities.
Maintain positive working relationships with DRPs and prepare work orders and estimates accordingly.
