About The Position

Requirements

• Equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the job duties.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Ability to read complex print specifications.
• Ability to use and understand measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to obtain a PIV license.
• Ability to achieve performance standards.
• Excellent attendance; three points or less.
• No written safety warnings.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate metal material according to La-Z-Boy quality requirements.
• Operate the press and perform machine maintenance to maximize program yields.
• Load dies and set up and adjust the machine for each job.
• Lubricate moving parts of the machine.
• Operate a forklift or pallet jack to relocate materials, supplies, and parts as needed.
• Visually inspect work for defects according to quality standards.
• Clean and maintain equipment.
• Operate equipment safely, accurately, and efficiently.
• Rework non-conforming parts as necessary.
• Control quality and waste.
• Demonstrate teamwork and motivation for job requirements.
• Follow health and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean work area.
