About The Position

TR Miller Heating, Cooling, Plumbing and Electrical is seeking HVAC Install Apprentices who are committed to customer satisfaction and interested in building a long-term career. Apprentices support lead installers on residential HVAC projects, assist customers with heating and cooling needs, and gain hands-on experience through on-the-job training and scheduled learning sessions. The role contributes to a First-Time Fix approach using reliable systems and quality tools, while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment and delivering professional, courteous customer service. The schedule is Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Potential annual earnings are $41,000–$52,000, with eligibility for overtime for hours over 40 per week. There is no on-call work.

Requirements

EPA certification is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A collaborative, customer-service-focused work style.
A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds or more occasionally, in compliance with OSHA manual handling guidelines.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including working in confined spaces, kneeling, squatting, crawling, and bending.
Ability to climb stairs, access attics, and enter crawl spaces as required.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors with frequent exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures.
Completion of a pre-employment background check before the start date.

Responsibilities

Assist with removing outdated HVAC systems and installing new equipment.
Contribute to a First-Time Fix approach using reliable systems, quality tools, and continuous learning.
Participate in on-the-job training and scheduled learning sessions to build technical skills.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure job site.
Deliver exceptional, 5-star customer service with professionalism and courtesy.
Perform other duties as assigned.
