About The Position

All Hours Air is a locally owned, family-operated business providing heating, air conditioning, and plumbing services in the Reno and Sparks area. The company emphasizes quality service, long-term customer relationships, and a work culture focused on growth, development, and retention.

The HVAC Install Apprentice supports licensed technicians and installers in setting up and installing heating and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial properties. The role provides hands-on learning and an opportunity to develop skills for a long-term career in the HVAC trade. This is a full-time, field-based position serving job sites in the Sparks, Nevada area, with no stated travel percentage beyond daily travel to job sites.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Willingness to learn HVAC installation practices and safety protocols.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

• Enrollment in or interest in an HVAC apprenticeship or trade school program.

Responsibilities

• Assist HVAC installers with the setup, installation, and replacement of HVAC systems, including ductwork and wiring.
• Prepare tools, materials, and work areas; perform basic measuring, cutting, drilling, and assembly tasks under supervision.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, and instructions from senior technicians, ensuring work meets building codes and safety regulations.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites, and document work performed and time logs as required.
• Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers.
• Participate in training and safety meetings to build HVAC trade knowledge.
