About The Position

The Apprentice Moldmaker is a trainee role that supports on-the-job training and performs general manufacturing tasks as directed. The primary objective is to complete the training needed to transition successfully into support-level manufacturing staff. Depending on training and assignment, the apprentice may perform basic to moderately complex manufacturing tasks and may need to complete testing or certification requirements.

The role requires following safety and health rules, company procedures, and the company security policy. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write and read and understand visual aids.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret diagrams and graphs.

Responsibilities

• Learn and complete on-the-job training to prepare for transition into support-level manufacturing staff.
• Perform basic to moderately complex manufacturing tasks as learned and directed in the training program, as required.
• Complete testing or certification requirements for the assigned area, as required.
• Follow safety and health rules and regulations associated with the position and as directed by a supervisor.
• Comply with procedures within the company security policy.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
