About The Position

The Apprentice Moldmaker is a trainee position supporting on-the-job training and general manufacturing tasks as directed. The primary objective is to learn the work and complete training successfully in preparation for transition into support-level manufacturing staff. The apprentice may perform basic to moderately complex manufacturing tasks as learned and directed in the training program and may need to complete testing or certification requirements for the assigned area. The role requires following applicable safety, health, and company security procedures and may include other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write and to read and understand visual aids.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and interpret diagrams and graphs.

Responsibilities

• Learn and complete on-the-job training to prepare for transition into support-level manufacturing staff.
• Perform basic to moderately complex manufacturing tasks as learned and directed in the training program.
• Complete testing or certification requirements as necessary for the assigned area.
• Adhere to safety and health rules and regulations associated with the position and as directed by the supervisor.
• Comply with procedures within the company security policy.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
