About The Position
Central Animal Hospital is seeking a motivated, reliable Veterinary Kennel Assistant to help keep hospitalized and boarding patients clean, comfortable, and well cared for. This full-time position offers hands-on training, and prior veterinary experience is not required. The role suits someone who enjoys cleaning and organizing, likes working with animals, and is comfortable staying active in a fast-paced hospital environment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with weekends off.
Requirements
- A love of animals and genuine interest in their comfort and care.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and ability to multitask.
- Willingness to handle all aspects of cleaning, including bodily fluids.
- Enjoyment of cleaning and organizing.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Positive attitude that balances professionalism and fun.
- Ability to stay on your feet and active throughout the shift.
- Eagerness to learn and grow as a Veterinary Kennel Assistant.
Nice To Haves
- Previous kennel, animal care, or veterinary experience is welcomed but not required.
Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect kennels, runs, and patient areas to help keep the hospital safe and sanitary.
- Clean areas affected by bodily fluids, including urine, stool, and blood.
- Keep supplies, storage, and work areas organized and well stocked.
- Help care for hospitalized and boarding patients, keeping them comfortable and clean.
- Support the veterinary team behind the scenes so the hospital runs smoothly.
- Assist wherever needed during busy days.
