About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian to provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in Richmond, Midlothian, Mechanicsville, Chesterfield, Glen Allen, Henrico, Petersburg, Virginia, and surrounding areas. The role offers an alternative to in-clinic practice, with a focus on professional fulfillment, personal freedom, and supporting families during meaningful moments. Veterinarians typically see an average of three to four appointments per day, allowing time for families and reducing paperwork. The position includes flexible scheduling, comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. The position is part of a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals. Part-time opportunities are available for two days per week, with a guaranteed annual base salary of $55,000, bonus opportunities, and benefits. Full-time schedules of three, four, or five days are also mentioned, with compensation details available upon request.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Candidates are subject to a background check and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.
