Part-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian to serve Fredericksburg, Woodbridge, Manassas, Culpeper, Dale City, Centreville, Virginia, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in meaningful end-of-life moments. The role offers an alternative to in-clinic practice, with flexible schedules, an average of 3–4 un-rushed appointments per day, and support from a community of veterinarians and support professionals. Lap of Love provides comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Part-time schedules are available for 2–5 days per week. The stated salary for a 2-day-per-week opportunity is a guaranteed base of $55,000 annually, with bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for 3-, 4-, and 5-day schedules are available upon request.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), VMD, or BVMS degree.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
- Candidates are subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families.
- Conduct mobile veterinary appointments in the listed service areas.
