Part-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian to serve the Greater Hampton Roads Region of Virginia, including Hampton, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Williamsburg, Newport News, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families, practicing independently while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals. The position offers flexible schedules of two to five days per week, with an average of three to four appointments per day. The company provides comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Part-time opportunities at two days per week offer a guaranteed annual base salary of $55,000, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for three-, four-, and five-day schedules are available upon request.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Must pass a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before the associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes.
- Conduct an average of three to four appointments per day.
