Part-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian serving the Greater Hampton Roads Region of Virginia, including Hampton, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Williamsburg, Newport News, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes. The role offers flexible schedules of two to five days per week, with an average of three to four appointments per day. Part-time opportunities are available at two days per week with a guaranteed annual base salary of $55,000, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for three-, four-, and five-day schedules are available upon request. The position includes onboarding, mentorship, and access to experienced leaders and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Candidates are subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), VMD, or BVMS degree.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Must pass a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before the associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families.
- Travel to appointments in the Greater Hampton Roads Region of Virginia.
- Work some weekends.
