About The Position

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a full-time mobile veterinarian to provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care to pets and their families in Mid-Hudson Valley, New York, including Warwick, Middletown, Port Jervis, Monroe, Newburgh, New Windsor, New City, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian will practice independently while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals, with onboarding, mentorship, experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 Support Center.

Schedules are available for three, four, or five days per week. The role averages three to four unhurried appointments per day. Compensation varies by schedule: four-day positions start at $117,500, and five-day positions have a $140,000 base salary, with additional bonus opportunities. Three-day full-time and part-time opportunities are also available with prorated compensation.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
• Valid U.S. driver's license.
• Availability to work some weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Subject to post-hire background and motor vehicle record checks before the associated start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospice and euthanasia care to pets and their families in their homes.
• Travel to appointments throughout the assigned service area.
• Work some weekends.
